“Photography is all about unleashing your creativity. Anyone can become a photographer. It just asks us to think beyond the ordinary; just to think something beyond merely clicking pictures.”, says Sagar Makwana: an extremely talented photographer who is currently working as a wedding photographer in Mumbai, India.
“I started photography in my undergraduate years”, says Makwana, “I used to take out time from my studies to cover natural landscapes while pursuing my IT degree and soon my love for photography grew.” Even after completing his MBA, he didn't pursue any fancy job but devoted himself to this noble art.
An important aspect of photography is ‘understanding your subject’. “When we capture a wedding, the objects can be the bride's garments or maybe even something small but yet of a great significance like a wedding ring.” The entire art of photography, when it comes to capturing people, revolves around the emotions that are involved in the scenario. “Emotions are all that you catch from people. A typical marriage involves all sorts of emotions mixed together in one single event. On one side we see the bride crying on her father's arm in the sorrow of leaving her home, and on the other hand we see the couple pass silent glimpses to each other and looking forward to a new life.” These variations alone are responsible for the immense beauty of such events.
“To all the budding photographers there, my sole message would be to keep practicing. Photography is an art that knows no bounds. With every click, we get to learn something new. We should never let this spark to fade within us. In the end, it is this spark alone that leads us to success.”
I feel that the World Art Fortress is an excellent initiative that will provide a good platform for people from different parts of the globe to interact with each other and share a common platform with one single purpose, that is, to display their art.
