A world by me – by Carson AriasSeptember 26, 2016
Carol is one of the best beauty therapists out there. A makeup artist since childhood, she is now professionally known as a beauty therapist. When asked about how she took up this profession, Carol says that she took up this a subject on ‘hair and makeup’ in her curriculum. Ever since, she received praise for her hobby especially when she did bridals and decided to pursue it as her career. She fondly recalls “in my childhood, I used to wonder why actresses look so flawless in movies. Today I realise that it’s all the makeup magic!” Carol highlights that she is a self-made woman. She says that she made mistakes but always took accountability from them.
Carol feels that makeup is actually a form of science; When one looks around, they can see God’s creativity in life. Colours add happiness. The same goes with makeup — colours add a new dimension. Carol loves nature and tries to be as natural as possible with her work. This she feels allows her to express her love for God’s creation. When asked about her clients, Carol laughs and replies that she does makeup to the girl next door and makes her look like a diva on her wedding day. Carol is so talented that people call her “a magic lady with a magic wand’!
Carol loves makeup because if done properly, it gives immense confidence to the wearer. Carol’s success speaks for itself. She has gone on to be in national level Bharat and dorris hair and makeup competition in Mumbai (2010). She has also worked on artwork on Femina Miss India national costume. Finally in international level, she has worked for Miss United Continents, Miss Earth, Miss Supranational and Miss India 2015. Carol wants to share her experience and knowledge with the upcoming generation of makeup artists. Good luck to Carol!
